As I prepare for the New York Comic Con, I’ve been thinking about this newsletter. I haven’t released consistently or in great quantity. I think it’s because I’m not sure what people want to hear or see from me. Do you want stories about how I got to where I am? Do you want behind-the-scenes how-tos about my process? Do you just want to see art? Please tell me what you’re looking for from me. I can mix it up. I can do all the above.
Also, how often should I be posting. I’m not posting every day, but once a week? Is that enough?
Anyway, to add a little to this ask from you, here’s some recent watercolors I’ve done. Enjoy!
Once a week is great if you can do it. As for what to post, sometimes I wonder whether asking people doesn’t illicit the right response. People often don’t know what they want until they get it. It’s like scrolling through Netflix. You think you want to watch that big blockbuster that’s gonna leave you with an empty feeling. Really you should’ve watched the subtitled Hungarian thing that would leave you thinking about the film for a week or more. Anyway, rambling here, but I love seeing your work andthat’s definitely something that should feature! Cheers.
