And after reflection, I just realized why I really prefer the horizontal setting (as a franco-belgian BD reader): (1) the vertical setting offer only a sequential reading when (2) the horizontal one offers both a sequential reading (case by case) and a global reading
Elaborating on this, comics (taken in its wider meaning) can be enjoyed on many levels: cases, line, page and facing pages. Each contribute to the art and bring dynamic, meaning and “mood” tp the comic
I hear ya. I prefer it in its original, but so many people don't read it that way and I have to meet them where they are. My hope is to collect the strips and publish them all horizontal. Thanks for the perspective!

and with the roughs, the tests, the rejected ... it brings life to the whole and a while widening new perspective
